I¡¦m writing in response to the letter ¡§ICQ in moderation¡¨ (Young Post, September 28). ICQ is a cheap and easy way to chat with friends and relatives overseas. It¡¦s mush cheaper than phoning.
ICQ is good as long as we don¡¦t over-indulge in it.

Most of my classmates play ICQ until 1 am or later. They end up very tired in class the following day.
ICQ is just a game. We should not be spending so mush time on it.
Of course, it is fun and interesting to what with someone you do not know and say whatever you like. But making friends on the Net can be dangerous. You never know whom you are really talking to. Yong people should try not to be obsessed with it.

Many people worry about teenagers lying on the Internet. They say that this would make the youngsters think lying is correct.
The Internet is not a real world. It does not matter whom you talking to. You just want to talk with someone.
One writer said: ¡§if the one who is chatting with you tells you he is Mr. Li Ka-Shing, will you trust him?
I will just answer: ¡§I don¡¦t care who you are, the real information is not important¡¨

Computer age
Today, the computer plays an important role in the world.
Everyone realizes that the computer is vital for us in many ways.
Many schools have forced their teachers to learn how to use computers. Is that necessary? Of course it is necessary because we know live in hi-tech age.
Computers can make dull lessons more interesting.
