Geography Coastal Study at Lido Beach

In an effort to deepen their knowledge of Hong Kong's coastal environments, F5 Geography students recently engaged in a field study at Lido Beach, Sham Tseng. The educational excursion, organized by Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre and sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen, provided students with a valuable hands-on experience in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of on-site data, enhancing their ability to conduct meaningful geographical research. The field study not only enhanced students' understanding of fieldwork procedures but also allowed them to appreciate the natural beauty of the coast. Through this immersive experience, students gained a deeper awareness of the importance of managing marine resources sustainably and the significance of maintaining the safety of our marine ecosystems. This enriching coastal study at Lido Beach not only broadened students' geographical knowledge but also instilled in them a sense of environmental stewardship and conservation awareness.
