‘Bang!’ 

I feel the weakness of my legs. And darkness is falling in front of me slowly. I can’t imagine how long it has passed. There was something that covered my mouth. And I was moving with a melody. ‘Be… bu… Be… bu…’ 

A familiar sound came into my ears. ‘Don’t sleep! Wake up please! I don’t want to miss you!’ 

Yeah! When I was shopping with my girl friend Joanne, we met a crossfire between the police and a gangster. And them I lost consciousness. 

I moved my heavy lips and said, ‘Are… Y..ou…. Joanne…’ 

A sound shouted back at me, ‘Yeah. Sausage, don’t leave me!’ 

‘Joanne… please, tell my girlfriend Amy my bankbook is under the computer. Please tell Mary I have bought insurance for her. And tell Kelly don’t bring her boy friend to our home and leave his underwear! Also tell my wife I never loved her. And the last one, tell Joey, please help me say sorry to her. I cannot wait for her to give birth to our baby. I have to leave the world now. 

Then I fell a big force punched on me. And I lost consciousness again.

This is a very cold summer day. The sum is still shinning and I’m sweating. But it is still very cold. The ground around my body is red. This is the blood coming out from my body. I don’t feel any fear. I am just f—king god. Why is he so unfair? I am just going to the supermarket to buy a Panadol for my mother. I think this is not a sin. I have never thought that I will be involved in a gun battle between the police and a robber. And shot by a police. I realize that my life is running out of me. 

I am smiling but I don’t know why. Maybe I am happy that I would leave the world without any pain. No need to worry about money, power struggle and so on. 

Suddenly, I heard a voice –my mother and father’s voice. Their faces appear before my eyes. But I can’t hear what they are saying. After that, my girlfriend came too. I see a drop of tear rolling down from her eyes. And my friends and brothers they all came. I feel very warm at this moment. But this is a very short time. I lift up my arm and want to touch my girlfriend’s face. But I can’t. This is just a fantasy. A tear rolls down my eye. And my heart feels very painful. I look at the sky and ask god why he did this to me? 

An ambulance came and I was taken on it. I realize that I must say what I want to say to somebody. I catch a practitioner who is doing emergency treatment to me, ‘Tell my…’ I am not sure what I have said. The noise of the siren became lower and lower. I feel my body getting lighter and lighter. But I feel that I am sinking too.
